Children's Grant Program

When CFAX Santas Anonymous Society was established nearly 50 years ago, it began with a simple idea: to make Christmas miracles happen for children and families in the Greater Victoria area who needed a little extra support during the holiday season.

But over the years, more children continued to battle hunger, miss out on programs that foster healthy development, like camp, and lack access to vital resources after encountering significant hardships. It became clear that child poverty required attention all year round, not just at Christmas.

Even with programs already in place to address these challenges, the number of children in need far outweighed the available resources. In response, the Children’s Special Grants Program was established in 2002 to fund and strengthen programs that provide real, measurable support to children and families in Greater Victoria throughout the year.

Thanks to the continued generosity and support of our community, we are able to carry on the Children’s Grants Program for another year! While our main funding cycle takes place in the Spring, we do our best to respond to urgent needs as they arise throughout the year.
