Toy Pickup Driver Lead
Position Title: Toy Pickup Driver Lead
Purpose: The Pickup and Delivery Lead is responsible for managing and coordinating the Pickup and Delivery Volunteers during the Christmas Program.
Location: Workshop and various locations throughout Greater Victoria
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and schedule Pickup and Delivery Volunteers based on program needs
- Maintain accurate and organized volunteer contact information
- Provide ongoing support and direction to Pickup and Delivery Volunteers
- Train volunteer drivers on pickup and delivery procedures
- Ensure volunteer drivers meet the Pickup and Delivery Volunteer requirements, including holding a valid driver’s licence and obtaining appropriate additional vehicle insurance coverage
- Maintain and coordinate supplies required for shopping centre locations
- Liaise with the Receiving Lead, Program Assistant, and Christmas Program Managers
Reports to: Community Partner Coordinator, Executive Director
Time Commitment: October to November– 2-4 hours/week, December on call as need be.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s licence and appropriate additional vehicle insurance coverage
- Good driving record
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Reliable, task-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Experience with Microsoft Office and customized databases
- Ability to work independently and also be a team player
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
- Able to stand, bend, carry, and lift supplies and donations safely
