There are two priorities for the Christmas Program 2020:
A sense of normal for thousands of children – Christmas for local children and food for the family can achieve this!
Support local – our local community has suffered immense economic loss; our program supports the local economy at Christmas each year. $550,000.00 in gifts and toys were purchased locally by the public in 2019 for 2,633 children registered with Santas and hundreds of children served by South Island Foster Parent Association, local daycares and Victoria General Hospital (to name a few).
How can we achieve Christmas for Santas registered families safely?
We’ve commissioned this amazing new website so you can help local children and families from the comfort of your home, office, club or business. The site was designed and partially donated by local website e-commerce designer, BJ Wilson, and is hosted on Shopify, a trusted Canadian server.
We have designed a new program called the Santas Virtual Tree of Wishes;
Santas Toy Team has assessed the top gifts requested for Infants, Toddlers, Children, Early Teens and Teens for 2020 each approximately $40.00; In most cases there is more than one child in the house and this keeps the gifts within equal range. A second gift will be provided by Santas workshop team based on interests of the child or teen.
Donors will make a wish come true with a $40.00 financial donation and Santas will buy the gift (local first if possible). A tax receipt will be issued to you, together with a printable ornament for your Christmas tree, or to give as a gift to a friend, loved one or colleague.
Donors will have a choice to purchase a food hamper for the family. Food is always a focus for CFAX Santas Anonymous Society at Christmastime and a necessity for local children living in priority. Children are not in school during the Christmas holidays and do not have access to breakfast, lunch and healthy snacks normally available at school. Santas three bag food hamper contains healthy breakfast, snacks, and lunches, complete with recipe cards to assist kids with their meal choices.
